It is the Science Officer’s responsibility to follow-up and support the COST Actions by catalysing and supporting researchers, promoting inter-disciplinary research collaboration in a multi- disciplinary and multicultural environment across Europe and beyond. The Administrative Officer is also responsible for providing support to the Science Officers with the organization of COST meetings and events.\n\nThe Administrative Officer will ensure to provide high quality and correct documentation related to the Administrative and financial management of the Actions under his/her responsibility as well as for meetings and respecting the deadlines.  \nThe Administrative Officer reports directly to the Head of Science Administration.  \nThis position will involve:\n\n- Undertaking appropriate controls regarding the management and the implementation of the COST Actions by the COST Action Grant Holder;\n- Verifying and controlling COST Actions financial reports against strict deadlines;\n- Organizing cost effective meetings and scientific events, for COST Networking tools mainly in Brussels but not exclusively;\n- Providing financial and administrative support to Action Chairs/Grant Holders/COST Action Participants. This includes support during meetings at the COST and at Grant Holder premises and presentations of administrative rules to medium and large audiences both on-line and face-to-face,\n- Representing the COST Association in Action meetings when requested,\n- Ensuring that high quality documentation for meetings is provided in an appropriate form and in a timely manner.
